Shohamû Foundations · Founded May 2011 · Berlin, Germany
A Global Network for Dignity, Opportunity & Sustainable Development
Shohamû Foundations is a multidisciplinary global network of nonprofit organisations, social enterprises and impact-driven initiatives founded in May 2011 in Berlin, Germany. What began as a single humanitarian initiative has evolved into a wide-reaching ecosystem dedicated to social transformation, human dignity and sustainable development across Africa, Europe and beyond.
It is a humanitarian and development-focused movement working at the intersection of education, employment, social justice, innovation, housing, legal empowerment, arts and community healing — built on the belief that lasting change happens when vulnerable individuals are supported holistically, not only through aid, but through opportunity, dignity and long-term empowerment.
Through strategic partnerships, grassroots programmes and cross-sector initiatives, Shohamû Foundations has reached thousands of children, youth, women, families and marginalised communities with tailored support systems designed to restore stability and unlock potential.
